What a DREAM this session was! Ok maybe not the wind in the beginning but once we got ahold of it we rocked it! Who am I kidding, these two rocked it from the FIRST SHOT (Literally – the proof will be in the final gallery)
I can’t help but think of the Bible story of the wise and foolish men when looking at these photos.
God wants us to build our lives on Him. If we do that, we are sure to stand the test of time, storms, life, and anything else thrown at us. The wind may swirl around us, the storm may be raging, but if we will just click to God and stay firm on Him as our rock, we will come out on top. Not only that but stronger and better for the challenge.
We all have times in our life that have not go as planned. Hurts, pains, scars inside and out. I’m sure most, if not all of us have felt the feeling of sand being washed out from under us, in reality but also figuratively. Not to sound too preachy, but I have always felt that feeling when I have decided I know better than someone else, or decide I want to do it myself instead of trusting God to work things out.
Erik & Katie – I know just like most of us, you’ve both had things come up in life that weren’t planned. Some good, some bad, some painful, some rejuvenating and refreshing.
I pray that as you both continue this journey you have started together, that not only will you find your sure footing on the rock, that you will strengthen and support each other, no matter what comes up. That when winds blow, you will both grow stronger together and come out of each storm closer and better for the wear. That when those moments come where there is opportunity for the sand to be swept out from under your feet, that instead you will remember these photos and how close you were, how you held each other up, how you supported each other walking through the sand, enjoying the beauty of the ocean around you. Always ALWAYS hold each other close. You’re a team. You can do this!
It truly was SUCH a pleasure getting to meet y’all and work with y’all. I hope you enjoy all your movie cover shots haha! and I can’t WAIT to get to work with you both again on that special day when we get to celebrate you two becoming one!!
