This was such a wonderful and sweet New Years Eve Mommy & Me Session!
Ladies and Gentleman, take a close look at these photos below. I’m not sure if you will be able to see all that I got to see, but I hope very much that you can at least see a little bit.
If you look closely not only will you see a Beautiful Mother with two precious and beautiful daughters, but you will see what REAL WOMEN are made of. Meeting Crystal and her two little girls and their sweet grandmother (not pictured this time 😉 )was a sweet and wonderful honor.
The funny thing about children is they are much like little mirrors whether we want them to be or not. I can’t TELL you how many times I have heard my daughter say something to my son and I think “Oh Lordy, is that really what I sound like?!”
Often times when I meet people I can subconsciously tell a lot about the parents not just by their actions and how they interact with me and their family, but by how their children respond to them and talk to one another.
This session was no exception, but what I saw, warmed my heart. Not only did this wonderful mother talk to and guide her daughters in a sweet yet strong manner but the way that the girls responded showed that they KNEW mom was in charge, but they were not the least bit afraid or threatened by her, they respected her. They also respected each other. When the youngest of these precious little ones was a little shy and hesitant to smile, the manner in which her older sister crouched down to sooth and encourage her was so sweet and tender.
When children act like that to one another, it is because not only have they been surrounded by that at home, but they have also been given the confidence through love to treat others that way.
So I go back to my original statement. Look closely Ladies and Gents. This mother that you see here? She is the true definition of a REAL woman. As Proverbs 31:28 says, “Her children arise up, and call her blessed;” I have no doubt that as these girls grow they will know and understand the sweet love of their mother and I hope that they learn to appreciate that what they have, not everyone is blessed to know and have.
We all go through tough times, life is not always fun. But if we look for it, we can see the joy around us. And once we see it, if we will just keep our focus on those things which we are so blessed to have in our lives, the rest won’t look nearly as terrible as it once did to us.
One thing is for sure, I walked away from this sweet little session not only encouraged, but challenged to be much more conscious of EVERYTHING that I say and how I say it to each and every person around me but especially to my children.
Crystal- Thank you SO much for the honor of meeting you and capturing you and your beautiful daughters. You are doing such a wonderful job at raising them! It shows in the love and admiration that shines from their eyes when they look at you. It shows in the way that they listen to ever gentle instruction you give, It shows in the smile that lightens their faces and the tenderness of their hugs and they wrap their arms around you. Not only that, but from the little time I got to interact with you and your mother, I can tell where you get it from, She has done a wonderful job raising you and in turn you have done a wonderful job raising your babies.
Keep up the good work! Don’t ever let life get you down or make you feel less than! You are FABULOUS!! I pray that as you each go through life together that God continues to blossom the love between you and let it explode and splash not only on each other but on everyone around you as well.
It truly was such an honor doing this session with you I(‘m SO GLAD we were able to work it out!!) and I know you are far away but I hope It won’t be the last time I get to see you and your beautiful family!
